How Dogs Are Really Affected By Fireworks and What Can Help

DID YOU KNOW??????

45% of dogs have a fireworks phobia, according to a study published in the journal Applied Animal Behaviour Science.

July 5th is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters nationwide.

There is a 30% increase in the number of lost pets between July 4th and July 6th.

7.6 million animals are lost each year and only 14% are returned to their owners.

Over 55% of lost pets are euthanized because they cannot be properly identified and returned to their owners.

Fireworks can mess up a dog faster than anything! Fireworks scare puppies and dogs.

Keep your dogs and puppies as far away from fireworks as possible. Make sure your dog has the proper ID. Your lost dog can't call you, and neither can anyone else that can't identify that the dog belongs to you! More dogs are lost on the 4th of July than any other

day.
